Chastity is a virtue that has been lost in today’s modern society, people generally don’t see the value or are unaware of its potential. Chastity is the virtue of sexual purity, purity of spirit, and abstaining from those relations before marriage. There are hidden spiritual tariffs people often overlook as well as practical reasons why chastity is preferred.
The first reason is for your happiness. There are a lot of studies on the subject and the data is very clear. Here are some of the points:

Inside of marriage, sex is very much encouraged with little downside. It helps with the health of the individuals and increases the bond between the couple. The possibility of conceiving your spouse can be deeply erotic.
People overwhelmingly want three qualities when it comes to sex, they want love, intimacy, and commitment. These are all part of the institution of marriage. If those three things were a guarantee for marriage, which is the idea, that you would have commitment, intimacy, and love. No one would be opposed to the idea, and the younger culture would embrace it more.
If you want those aspects in your life and in your partner, the best way to attract someone like that in your life is by staying chaste. People often associate with others of like-mindedness. Living a better, happier life will require living better morally.
The only negative part of chastity comes from social pressure. A lot of Western culture is becoming increasingly deranged and obscene. You’ll hear every excuse under the Sun to justify sex, there will always be a justification. The point is, you need to decide beforehand if this is a priority in your life. If you decide to make that decision, you can quietly stand by it and politely say “No” when the time comes.
People will often make terrible decisions under the influence of lust. All too often I have seen people degrade themselves, trash their careers, wreck relationships, destroy families, and waste a lifetime of money all for a quick fix.
There’s a lot that can be said for the spiritual as well, but when you’re clear and clean in chastity. You can get the influence you need, when you need it, to attract what you want in your life. Chastity opens and closes many big doors. Then again, there are some people who just want free love, which is fine too, but if you want happiness to be one of the things you want in life. I highly recommend obtaining the virtue of Chastity.
